Butterfly caterpillar had died. It had grown to about 1 inch then disappeared. Later I found the dried corpse. It appears that other insect sucked up all the water out of it.
Next time I'll take it in the house for protection.
Otohchan is too busy to go out and take photos in the mountains. Nature photos are one of the most time consuming and costly category. It takes only a lunch to recruit a model. ^.^
